Welcome to my Zenhaven mattress review. I’m excited to share with you the details and features of this product, a design made by Saatva that allows families all over to bring luxurious sleeping conditions into their bedrooms.

The company handmakes their products, which are then shipped directly to the consumers, eliminating commissioned salespeople and retail store markups. The product works with almost any budget and the changes it will make to your quality of sleep will blow you away.

Stick around and read my assessment of this product to learn what makes the design so unique and what you can expect should you decide to conduct your own research into this product.

Construction

Layers

Classic Brands Natural Sleep 11 Inch Talalay Latex Mattress

I took the time to learn about the different layers of this product during my trial period using it. It includes four layers. The first is 2” thick and called the comfort layer. It’s made up of 100% talalay latex, which provides support for your entire body and creates a cool and responsive sleep surface. The second layer is 3” thick and called the support layer. It’s also made of talalay latex, but a denser type. It provides support and pressure relief, something I really noticed during my time spent with this product.

The third layer is 3” thick and is made of a firmer talalay latex, giving the product a firmer feel. If you find the surface to be too soft flip it to make this layer the second layer. Finally, the fourth layer is the same as the first. It’s 2” of talalay latex, providing the same support and cool sleep surface should you decide to flip  for a different firmness level, a feature I found really neat.

Cover

The cover  is made of 100% organic New Zealand wool. This acts as a natural temperature regulator. This cover is then wrapped in an organic cotton cover. This was one of the first things I noticed,  because it was so soft and offered a luxury quality that’s not common in top covers.

First Impression & Overnight Test (Firmness, Feel, & Support)

The feature that really made me want to conduct a trial assessment is that you can flip it and decide which firmness level is right for you. My first night  was spent on the Luxury Plush side. It was medium in firmness but compared to traditional memory foam. I felt more like I was sleeping on top of it rather than sinking down into it. I felt supported but I was looking for a little more firmness.

The next night  I switched to the Gentle Firm side. This side was definitely firmer but not overly hard. As a back sleeper, I preferred this side. But my wife sleeps on her side and enjoyed the Luxury Plush side more. While it’s nice to be able to choose between firmness levels, you’ll want to make sure that you and your partner enjoys the same level of firmness.

Who Should Buy this Product?

If you’re not sure about the degree of firmness you prefer in a sleeping surface, the Zenhaven could be the product you need. One of my favorite features was that the model includes two firmness levels. All you need to do is flip to see which is best for your needs. Also, if you’re looking for a natural sleeping surface, this product fits the bill. With a layer of natural wool and an organic cotton cover, your assessment of the product will be positive.

Key Features

The main feature that sets the brand apart from its competition is that it’s made using talalay latex. This material is softer than traditional latex, allowing it to truly conform to your body, similar to memory foam, but without having to worry about off gassing. Another feature to consider  is the product is delivered inflated to your residence. The delivery personal will set up your purchase and even remove your previous bedding if needed.

How Does It Compare?

Classic Brands Natural Sleep 11 Inch Talalay Latex

The Classic Brand includes talalay, which retains its firmness level. It’s also more hygienic than other materials and hypoallergenic. If you suffer from allergies, a productwith talalay is a great option to consider.

My Green Design – Natural Escape

This is one of the most natural sleeping surfaces on the market. It’s hand-crafted in the USA and includes 3” of natural and comfortable talalay. It also includes certified organic cotton and natural California wool.

My Green Mattress - Natural Escape - Organic Cotton, Natural Wool and Latex - Medium Firm Mattress

There are plenty of luxury designs on the market to choose from but the product I tested perfectly combines natural materials with the benefits of talalay. You’ll love the support, no matter which level of firmness you choose from.
