Loom and Leaf Mattress Review

Loom and Leaf Mattress Review

Saatva, the company behind the Loom and Leaf, is the largest online-only luxury  brand in the United States. Their design is a popular option so I set out to conduct my own testing of the product

The company is committed to customer service, something that’s hard to find in the bedding industry. They directly contact every customer after an order is placed and believe in keeping their product line simple so that there’s no drama when you finally get your product.

Their design includes both foam and gel, providing you with the comfort of foam without the heat retention. The support also doesn’t leave you feeling like you’re sleeping in quicksand. My testing of the product showed me that it’s possible to sleep on a luxury design every night without going over budget.

Construction

Layers

Leesa Mattress

There are three layers in this design. I inspected each during my assessment of the product. The Spinal Zone Gel layer includes medical-grade gel that helps circulation and cools efficiently. The second layer is made up of plant-based foam constructed with a gel-swirl technique. This includes air channels to aid in cooling and improve air circulation during the night.

The final layer includes memory foam support and helps the top two layers work together to provide you with a cool and comfortable night’s rest.

Cover

The cover is simple but effective. I noted that the cover is made from organic cotton covering and includes a natural flame retardant.

Tuft & Needle Mattress

First Impression & Overnight Test (Firmness, Feel, & Support)

The first night in the bed was full of surprises. The first thing I noticed was how soft the sleeping surface was, thanks to its quilted cover. The overall feel could be described as balanced. I didn’t feel like the bed  was holding on to me but I did feel the contouring and support associated with foam designs.

This product is thicker than most foam designs and you’ll noticed a difference in the support.  If you struggle with morning back pain, your own trial period of this product could leave you with less discomfort and more hours of peaceful sleep.

Who Should Buy this Product?

Based on my own assessment, this product is great for anyone who loves the feel of memory foam. It delivers the elements you’ll expect from foam, like body contouring and a soft surface. This design is great for couples because of how well it absorbs motion and the infusion of cooling gel keeps sleepers from getting too warm. If you’re looking for a product that will last you for years to come, this model  is a great option to consider.

Key Features

The unique design includes breathable and organic materials along with cooling spinal gel that gives your body superior support while keeping it cool, even if you’re a warm sleeper. The company also uses 5 lb. foam, a type that’s not traditionally used by bedding companies. This is the secret ingredient to providing luxury at an affordable price.  The great motion absorption of the design makes it great for couples and the edge support beats just about any other foam product on the market.

How Does It Compare?

Let’s take a look at some of the competition:

Amerisleep Liberty 12” Natural Memory Foam

This design is just as thick as the product I tested. It’s ideal for all types of sleepers and includes a clinically proven ingredient that helps you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. It’s also made in the USA and includes a 100-night sleep trial. Check out the full Ameirsleep mattress review.

Leesa

The Leesa is a top-rated design and adapts to individual body weight, body shape, and sleeping style. It’s made in the USA and provides the comfort of memory foam with the durability and bounce of latex. There’s minimal motion transfer, making it great for couples. It’s no secret that there’s plenty of competition out there. But if you’re looking for a product that sleeps cool, provides a plush sleeping surface, and uses materials that aren’t found in every design out there, it’s time to test this product yourself and see what the difference really is.

Verdict

This product isn’t for everyone. But if you love the feel of memory foam and hate the heat retention that often comes with it, you’ll have something positive to say after you test trial the product. The quality of the materials used makes this model a great value and its comfort level is great with support that properly aligns the spine and relieves back pain for good.
