Leesa is a fast-growing e-commerce brand. While they’re fairly new on the scene, they’ve made a big splash. They were actually recognized as a top startup by Forbes in 2015. They’re a great example of the direct-to-consumer business model. They don’t offer a huge variety of products so they’re able to focus on fast processing and superb customer service, which made me want to conduct a test trial.
Take a little time to read my report. I think you’ll enjoy what you learn. The Leesa is a mattress that’s designed for all types of sleepers. If you’ve struggled with finding a mattress that supports you from every angle, and might be all you need to give the brand a try.
During my trial period I inspected all three layers of the design. The bottom layer is the foundation layer. It consists of 6” of high density support foam. The middle layer is the support layer and is made up on 2” of memory foam.
The top layer is the special ingredient of the Leesa mattress. It’s called the comfort layer and is made up of 2” of Avena foam. While Avena is definitely a foam, it performs more like latex. This gives the bed more bounce and keeps it from overheating like most foam tends to do.
I noticed the cover right away. It’s design is stunning. It’s made from polyester-lycra and includes a seamless edge for maximum comfort.
First Impression & Overnight Test (Firmness, Feel, & Support)
My initial feeling when I first sat down on bed was that it was firmer than I originally thought it would be. But even with this being said, it was still comfortable. While sitting on the edge of the bed I found the support to be quite sturdy.
I decided to test the universal comfort claim and tried just about every sleeping position I could think of. I lied on my side, on my stomach, on my back, and in some crazy positions that I don’t think anyone sleeps in. But I wanted my assessment to be accurate. While some positions were more comfortable than others, I think this was based on my own preference. I could feel the surface shifting beneath me, supporting my body as it moved. It made for a very relaxing experience.
Sinkage, Motion Transfer, & Temperature
There is minimal sinkage with the Leesa thanks to its high firmness level. However, I have read a Leesa mattress review or two that states heavier sleepers might have an issue with sinkage, especially with couples who have one heavier sleeper and one lighter.
One of the best features I discovered during my Leesa mattress review is that the mattress has just the right amount of bounce. It does help absorb motion from a partner but you can still move around with ease. You won’t feel like the mattress is swallowing you during a Leesa mattress review.
The top layer of the Leesa is made from Avena foam. I learned during my Leesa mattress review that this material can help regulate temperature and help you sleep through the night. No more sweaty nights!
Firmness and support
There’s only one firmness level available with the Leesa. Based on my Leesa mattress review, I would classify the mattress as a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the firmest. But when you lie all the way down, you still feel as if the mattress is hugging you. It’s a supportive firmness that works for the majority of sleepers.
If you’re considering starting your own trial period, keep the following in mind. This product is a highly rated direct-to-consumer product, cutting out the middle man and saving you a substantial amount of money. It offers a universal feel that adapts to most body weights, shapes, and sleeping positions.
It’s completely made in America with premium materials. It’s incredibly durable, absorbs motion like a champ, and can provide you with beautiful nights of peaceful slumber. You’re sure to notice all of these features.
How Does It Compare?
Let’s take a look at some of the competition:
My trial period left me confident in my endorsement for the product. Even if you’re not happy with your sleeping surface there’s no risk. You can receive a full refund. However, I believe that you’ll be more than satisfied.
Overall, I really enjoyed my sleep during my trial period. The Avena comfort layer really seemed to make a difference in my comfort level, no matter which position I slept in.
