The Arctic Dreams Cooling Gel Mattress Review

The Arctic Dreams Cooling Gel Mattress Review

The Arctic Dreams Cooling Gel Mattress is the answer to every hot sleeper’s prayers. It’s designed to keep heat out and provide you with a cool sleeping surface that never lets you down. It’s made by Dreamfoam Bedding, a leader in the bedding industry who provides latex, memory foam, and foam designs. But this product is truly a work of  art and stomps on the cooling design competition.

I invite you to read my report, where I’ll explain just how this mattress works and what you can expect from it. If you’re tired of waking up hot and drenched in sweat, this model

Construction

Layers

Zinus Sleep Master Ultima Comfort Memory Foam 8 Inch Mattress

There are three thickness options to choose from, but they all include the same layer materials. The top layer consists of a super soft foam that greets you whenever you lie down in bed. The second layer  is made of Energex gel foam. It’s similar to latex but much more supportive. This layer is infused with cooling gel, allowing the sleeping surface to absorb body heat and keep you comfortable the entire night.

The final layer s is the support foam base. It’s the thickest of all the layers and provides the support a sleeper needs to relieve pressure points and eliminate morning backaches.

Cover

The cover  is made of a stretch polyester and cotton blend. It’s soft and breathable, aiding in the cooling effect, and easy to put on and take off.

Just How Cool is the PuraSleep 10-Inch Coolflow Mattress?

First Impression & Overnight Test (Firmness, Feel, & Support)

I really looked forward to the first night of my trial period.  I had tried cooling designs in the past but all the positive reviews surrounding this product had given me hope that it was finally the answer. I chose the medium firmness model and felt comfortable almost immediately. I liked that there was a bit of a bounce in the bed but at the same time I didn’t notice much motion transfer when my wife got in and out of bed.

When I woke up in the morning, I knew the sleeping surface had done exactly what it claims to do. I wasn’t sweating at all. Never had a foam design provided such temperature regulation. I also felt refreshed and my back pain was half as bad as it normally was. Now that I’ve been sleeping on this product for a while, my back pain has just about disappeared completely. I credit this to the firm support of the sleeping surface.

Who Should Buy this Product?

Anyone who suffers from overheating night after night should buy this product. Its main feature is its cooling ability, which is difficult to achieve in a foam design. While foam tends to draw in body heat and trap it, resulting in an uncomfortable sleeping environment, this design  contains Energex foam, which draws heat away from the sleeper and allows it to escape the sleeping surface.

Key Features

It’s hard to decide which is my favorite feature. The cooling feature is what sets it apart from other designs. I have yet to come across another sleeping surface that left me as cool and comfortable as this one. It is also available in a variety of sizes and firmness, which really allows the buyer to customize their product based on their individual needs.

How Does It Compare?

Let’s take a look at some of the ’ competition:

Zinus Sleep Master Ultima Comfort Memory Foam

If you’re looking for a product that’s all about value, the Zinus Sleep Master Ultima Comfort Memory Foam  is a great contender. It includes three layers of foam, including BioFoam, which includes natural plant oil to help keep your bed smelling fresh. However, it doesn’t have anything to help regulate heat. Check out the full Zinus mattress review.

LUCID 10 Inch Gel Memory Foam

The LUCID  includes gel-infused foam, which is great for offering support and a medium-firm feel. It does help to regulate temperature but its reviews suggest that it can’t compete with the product I trial tested.

LUCID 10 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress

Resort Sleep 10-Inch Cooling Memory Foam

The Resort Sleep is another cooling design option. It doesn’t include a cooling gel but instead, the layers are designed to capture and remove heat. It does help keep you cool but without a cooling gel, the effect just isn’t the same.

Resort Sleep Queen 10-Inch Cooling Memory Foam Mattress

If you’re looking for a cooling dessign that actually does the trick and lasts the entire night, the product I trial tested is your best option. It combines support with your level of firmness, all in a design that keeps you cool as a cucumber all night.

Verdict

This product checks off almost all of my sleeping requirements. It provided pressure relief, reduced my pain, and didn’t empty my bank account. But most importantly, it kept me cool and comfortable, no matter what the temperature was in my house. This allowed me to sleep deeper and longer. I didn’t think there was a product out there that could handle my issues with heat. But I was proved wrong with this one. Check out our other mattress reviews.
